Hi there! I’m Edric. I recently completed a bachelor’s program in video game design and discovered that UI work is my ultimate career goal. I am focused on building accessible, user-centric interfaces across all mediums. I live at the intersection of design and front-end development, happily wireframing and iterating through prototypes in Figma before writing the code to bring them to life, ensuring the final product stays accessible and responsive.

My design philosophy centers on efficiency and intuition. I favor clean layouts with expandable information panels because they bridge the gap between different user skill levels. This approach allows experienced users to demonstrate mastery without punishing entry-level or returning users who need resources to familiarize themselves with the tools. I am currently applying these principles in a personal project by creating a mobile “task timer” app that manages multi-step recipes to facilitate user focus and readability. I will be designing and user-testing the tool with friends in Figma, then building the application with React Native.

Before jumping into tech, I spent a decade working in fast-paced hourly roles ranging from cooking to valet. I am adept at utilizing the adaptability and focus from my work experience alongside the technical skills from my degree to design modularly and iterate rapidly. I apply this to turn creative ideas into reality. Whether I am designing a logo, optimizing user flows, or debugging code, I am eager to build enjoyable experiences for people to interact with.

I aim my designs at the intersection of expressive visuals and functional, clean utility. By prioritizing intuitive user flows and modular systems, I set out to craft digital experiences that are human-centered, efficient, and scalable.
